Cucalorus Pre-event Intentions

Cucalorus festival brings life, culture, and art to the Wilmington community, and as a member of the it I feel as if I have a very important job. To respond. To spread the word. To gush and talk about my emotions that surfaced during the film. Cucalorus brings out the best aspects about film. I am so fond of this festival because boundaries are broken and the rawness of film comes out. I want to explore these feelings and the community. How does this film festival attempt to joint together all aspects of connect, film, and stage?

I will be attending
- Social Outing: Visions Sound Walls (Thursday, 12pm)
- Connect: Monumental Transformation- Community Arts in the South (Friday, 11:15am)
- Stage: Dancealorus ( Wednesday, 10pm)
- Film: Jackfruit Shorts (Sunday, 9:45pm)

My three actionable challenges include meeting a minimum of 4 different people (1 from Connect, 1 from Stage, 1 from Film, and 1 from a social event), successfully completing my role as the Filmmaker and Performer Pass Coordinator, as well as  balancing the position of being a viewer and employee.

I have been working for Cucalorus 24 from the beginning of its season and I will be working on it to its conclusion. I am so excited and nervous and thrilled to have this experience to further my career exploration.
