Light Observation #2

It is 6:30 pm at the North Carolina State Fair. I am nestled between Miss Debbie's Specialty Apples and The Fried Dough Shop. My eyes quickly welcome the acute burn from the exhaust of the turkey legs being baked.

As I walk amidst the lively atmosphere and bustling locality, a phosphorescent frequency transforms and breaks from the sky, swallowing the vendors. Its golden and electric transmission begin scattering like flashes back and forth between the here and the gone like a strobe. The vault of heaven breaks and transforms into a flickering energy that is acquainted with the vendors kaleidoscopic disorder and neon glow. These neon pigmentations cast a scarlet and cerulean and emerald radiance against the setting sky as the light roams the earth inventing new colors. At the climax of its luminosity, an ephemeral fluorescence consumes me, maybe it was the ultraviolet beam from the famous ferris wheel creating this internal phenomenon. It is not the sort of divine light you see frequently. The sun's setting harshly dims and begins eclipsing. The brilliant warmth of light had slowly died. Chiseled shadows appear and adopt ancient shapes that I did not recognize.

Now, my eyes have grown familiar to the stinging of the nearby turkey leg vendor who is baking and the halo of magnetism from the flurry of light. I begin plucking pieces of funnel cake and lightly tossing it into the back of my mouth. I look to my right and see a pigeon with a beam of appeasement. Even pigeons need to rest to take a breath.
